Callum Macrae who visited SL with the support of Ranil produces ‘No Fire Zone’ in Sinhala

Channel 4 film director, pro-LTTE Tamil terrorist Callum Macrae who was paid to make a documentary against Sri Lanka by LTTE Tamil diaspora is releasing a new Sinhala version of his infamous documentary banned in many countries; “No Fire Zone” in the premises of the UK parliament where LTTE banned as terrorists organization which possibly souring Britain’s relation with Sri Lanka.

The launch will be attended by director LTTE paid Callum Macrae and will have the presence of British MPs—Labour MP Siobhain McDonagh, Conservative MP Lee Scott and others from parliament.

India refused the film a censorship certificate, explaining in part that it might “strain friendly relations with Sri Lanka.” India also refused a visa to director Callum Macrae. However, present Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, pro-LTTE Ranil immediately after his self-appointment as Prime Minister lift the visa banned imposed on Callum  and allowed to visit Sri Lanka and arrange the Sinhala dubbing to the pro-LTTE documentary.   

The meeting will also be addressed by exiled pro-LTTE and anti-Sri Lanka Sinhalese writer Bashana Abeywardane.

The release of the version will coincide with the visit of the new Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena to the UK and will take place a day before he is due to have dinner with the Queen.

Until now the film has been effectively banned in Sri Lanka. Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa had asked the public to inform on anyone “secretly helping” the filmmakers. However pro-elamist Ranil’s government has repeatedly promised to lift restrictions on the internet “and end the intimidation, enforced disappearances and killings of journalists in Sri Lanka and may allow to screen the anti-Sri Lanka documentary in Sri Lankan soil.
