National Sangha Council to Set up a Fund to Assist Sinhala Buddhist Political Prisoners

Sri Lanka National Maha Sangha Council accusing pro-minority Yahapalana government lead by federalist Ranil and Sirisena are now after the Sinhala Buddhist general public after they attacked to Maha Sangha since the came to power on 8th Jan. 2015. The press release issued by Sangha Council highlighted that the most recent imprisonment of Mr. Lalith Wijethunga former Secretary to ex- President Mahinda Rajapaksa, and Mr. Anusha Pelpita former director general of Telecommunication Regularity Board are the classic example to such actions against the Sinhala Buddhists.

Considering the numbers of such Sinhala Buddhists political prisoners ever increasing Sangha Council is to set-up a fund to support such victims.
