U.S. Vice President Declares: Sri Lanka southern port a military base for China

American vice president Mike Spence in a major address on Chinese influence in American political affairs and its extended grip on nations worldwide on behalf of the Trump Administration accused China of using “debt-trap diplomacy” to expand its influence. The overriding message was that the United States is strong and determined, China is a significant threat, and countries should position themselves with the United States.
Vice president Spence sits on Trump White House’ supreme intelligence council – the National Security Council – and confers, along with President Trump, with those who monitor national and international security matters for the American administration.
