Ranil and Sirisena Allowed to Commemorate LTTE Black Tigers Terrorist in Jaffna

Pro-LTTE Ranil and pro-minority Sirisena allowed commemorating the LTTE Black Tiger Tamil terrorists in the Jaffna University. This is the first time since wiped out of LTTE Tamil terrorists in May 2009 Black Tiger Tamil terrorists were commemorated in Sri Lanka. Commemorating the LTTE is banned in Sri Lanka since the LTTE is listed as a terrorist group. However, with blessing of minority backed government of Ranil and Sirisena Jaffna university students had commemorated the LTTE Black Tiger terrorist by lighting candles.

Black Tiger terrorist are responsible of hundreds of suicide attacks against military and civilian targets over the 30 years including killing of Rajeev Gandhi and R. Premadasa.

Civilian targets included places of worship like Sri Dhalada Maligawa, Sri Maha Bodhiya Anuradhapura, ports, airports and assassinations of high-profile dignitaries.

 From their formation in 1987 until the defeat of the LTTE in 2009, more than 330 Black Tigers made suicide attacks on land and sea, mostly in Sri Lanka.
