Canadian PM Plays for Tamils’ Votes by Remembering so-called ‘Black July’
Pro-LTTE Tamils Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that he joined with the Tamil-Canadians and members of the Tamil community around the world to mourn families and friends lost during Black July in 1983, in Sri Lanka. On this day, 24th July 1983 in Sri Lanka took thousands of lives of Sinhala and Tamils and displaced so many from their homes.
“We join Tamil-Canadians and members of the Tamil community around the world to mourn families and friends lost during Black July, and to reflect on the enduring human cost of the conflict in Sri Lanka, Prime Minster Trudeau said in a statement on the 35th anniversary of Black July to gain cheap political advantage over the dead bodies of innocent civilians.
A week of destruction due to mismanagement by then UNP government led by J R Jayawardena created horrific violence that followed three decades Tamil terrorism in Sri Lanka and neighboring countries. The Tamil terrorism resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands of people mainly innocent Sinhala civilians and affected the lives of many more.
