One Tamil thug killed in Jaffna

One politically motivated Tamil thyg has been killed after police opened fire at suspected members of the ‘Tamil extremism and terror group called Awa who attempted to attack several police officers at Manipai, Jaffna. It is a frequent pattern that Tamil under world group carry out hit and run attack on police officers in duty in Jaffna. However, pro-Tamil Yahapalana government has given strict orders to police and security forces not use fire power. Due to this so called one sided Reconciliation number lives of security forces members lost during last four and half years.

Police has reported that an ‘Awa’ group member as killed when the police officers opened fire at the suspects who were attempting to attack them with swords.

He said that five other Tamil terror members of the criminal gang, which has been linked to multiple incidents of violence and crimes in the Northern Province, escaped after the clash with police in Manipai.
