Mass Grave of Muslims Found

The police have begun recording statements from Muslims over a mass grave in Kaluwanchikudy suspected to contain the remains of Muslims killed by the LTTE Tamil terrorists. 27 family members of Muslims reported missing during the time the LTTE Tamil terrorists were active in Northern and Eastern two provinces of Sri Lanka.

The police is recording the statements of the relatives of victims and it will be used to identify their relatives when the grave is excavated next month based on a court order. The grave was to be excavated last week but it was postponed on a court order. The police spokesman said that since the human remains will not be identifiable the police will use the statements recorded from the relatives of the victims to identify the remains through their belongings which may also be buried at the site.

According to a complaint lodged with the police in April this year, some 100 Muslims killed by the LTTE terrorists are believed to have been buried at the location. The police said that a man identified as Abdul Mohommad had in April filed a police complaint over the mass grave. Nearly 100 Muslims were believed to have killed by the LTTE in 1990 in Kattankudy on separate occasions.

UNHRC have not paid any attention such mass killings by the LTTE Tamil terrorist who was supported by Tamil political party TNA.
