“United Lanka” not a Unitary Sri Lanka – Chandrika
At the signing ceremony of the common presidential candidate by all political parties it was alarmed at the expression of former President Ms. Chandrika Kumaranatunge Bandaranayake used at the meeting for a “United Sri Lanka”; “Eksath” (United) but not an “Ekeeya” (unitary) Sri Lanka. Chandrika’s remark at the inception of the presidential campaign is quite clear that Common Candidate is being driven to a divided Sri Lanka.
Chandrika, Ranil, and Rajitha are the people who are drawing the strategies for the Maithreepala. Then, it could be another phase of Sri Lanka where attempts to destroy the country with the “United” expression leading to signing a MOU and handing over North and East two provinces of the country to be ruled by the Provisional Council backed by pro-LTTE TNA under the teams of infamous “package” designed by Chandrika.
The question that may ask by the majority of Sinhala voters is that under this backdrop, how JHU and Sarath Fonseka support to the so called common candidate who have to hand over the country to TNA within 100 days of his victory.
