Agreed to full Implementation 13th Amendment with TNA – Ranil
Ranil Wickramasinghe, a champion of pro-LTTE separatism for the federalism to the elam has stated that: “In principal all have agreed with the TNA as a pre-presidential election pact that the 13th Amendment should be fully implemented.”
“We are with that, we are only having discussions about the police powers and how it should function. That’s all. ”Ranil’s government of UNP in 1987 has enacted the treacherous 13th Amendment to the Sri Lankan constitution to pave the path to Tamil dominated separate state in North and East two provinces with the help of India.
Ranil, signed the infamous so called Cease Fire Agreement, CFA with the LTTE Tamil terrorists in 2002 which virtually divided the country to two states had stated that police powers is a provincial subject and that there are “certain concerns” but expressed hope that establishing an independent commission on the subject would provide an applicable solution to the issue meaning Ranil wanted to give full police power Tamil dominated areas.
Ranil Wickramasinghe further stated to Indian TV channel NDTV that the previous regime’s policy of playing China against India “came a cropper” and assured the new government will go back to an even handed approach to both neighbors.
“President Rajapaksa’s regime tried to play China against India and India against China but it came a cropper,” said Mr Wickramasinghe told NDTV.
“We will continue the traditional policy of friendship with India while we maintain our friendship with China, Japan, US and other countries” who covertly supported him come to power over the Mithreepala to create a Federal State in Sri Lanka.
