Did Sri Lanka vote for Ranil to implement the 13A?
Out of total population of Sri Lankans, less than 40% of Sinhalese, 75% of Tamils and 75% of Muslims voted for Maithreepala Sirisena to remove the President Mahinda Rajapaksa. Maithreepala won with a narrow margin of 51%!
This reflects that people of Sri Lanka voted for Maithreepala but not for champion of federalism Ranil. Nobody voted Ranil into power! However, clever Ranil play out with Maithreepala and crept on the Sirisena ticket and become the Prime Minister forcefully while his party is still minority in the parliament!
Sri Lankans did not go to the polls for either of these;
(i). Sri Lankans did not vote for Ranil, or
(ii). Sri Lankans did not vote for full implementation for 13Amendment, or
(iii). Sri Lankans did not vote for Federalism in Sri Lanka.
Therefore, Ranil has no right to manoeuvre and set the country on the path to separatism to fulfil his pre-presidential election promises made to pro-LTTE Tamil terrorist political party TNA. It seems that Ranil has nothing Sri Lankan about him or within him – a mere western backed liberally corrupted mind-set. He knows to divide, he knows to poach, he knows wheeling and dealing.
It is surprise to notice that Sinhala nationalistic party leaders like Ven. Athuriliye Rathana thero, Champika Ranawaka, Sarath Fonseka and JVP silent on this and supporting Ranil to divide the country.
Ranil on Saturday has said that political parties which should have included JHU, JVP, and NDF have agreed with him to full implementation of the 13th amendment as a solution to end the country’s so called ethnic conflict.
“All parties have agreed to solve the ethnic problem within the framework of the 13th amendment. We are continuing our talks,” Ranil said while addressing a gathering at Deniyaya in the south.
He further said that all provincial councils will have equal powers now that the Tamil National Alliance has said that they are for a solution within an undivided Sri Lanka. It means that there will be very complex nine police forces and court systems in Sri Lanka which is the stepping stone to eelam through the federalism in Sri Lanka.
