Minister of Public Order and Christian Affairs, John Amaratunga, has called for a report from the IGP on the issue related to the recent Pro-LTTE backed TNA instigated violence on the “Victory Day” in Jaffna by LTTE sympathizers pretext of gang-rape and murder of an innocent 17-year-old Tamil schoolgirl by a nine Tamil youth who are widely suspect linked with the LTTE activities with TNA.
The police has arrested over 130 protesters following the violence in which marauding protestors attacked the Jaffna Magistrate Court and the police with stones. The police also took into custody 60 motorcycles, 43 bicycles and five trishaws. However, foreign NGOs backed and funded pro-LTTE sympathizers now active in Colombo are organizing various campaigns to get released those thugs who attacked the government properties and police from the custody. It seems that Christian church and born-again cult leaders lead by Minister Rosie Senanayake is also participating to these pro-LTTE activities to secure release of those criminals to pleased the LTTE backed Tamil political party TNA. It is widely believe that the recent violence in Jaffna has been organized by TNA MP and relative of LTTE Tamil terrorist leader Siwajilingam to obstruct the ‘Victory Day’ celebration over the LTTE Tamil terrorists on 9th May 2015.
In response to these calls by the Christian NGOs, the minister in charge for Christian Affairs, John Amaratunga has ordered to take strict actions against the police officers who maintained tight law and order in Jaffna city and arrested over 130 Tamils thugs. Upon such instructions against the police officers from the minister IGP has already transferred several police personnel including the Senior Superintendent of Police of the division for their failure to prevent the outbreak of violence despite police had taken actions to arrest the suspects responsible for the violence. The protestors attacked the police and Jaffna Magistrate court on May 20.
The same minister arrested military intelligence officers in an army safe house in 2006 for sake of pretty political gains exposing entire intelligence operation of the country to the LTTE Tamil terrorists which lead to killed over 300 military intelligence officers by the LTTE Tamil terrorists.
