Twenty more LTTE Tamil Terrorists to be released next week By Ranil and Sirisena

As part of pre-election pact with pro-LTTE political party TNA and Ranil/Sirisena another 20 LTTE Tamil terrorists will be released next week. Prisons Reforms Minister, a Tamil widely known as pro-LTTE separatism  D. M. Swaminathan has told he had finalised arrangements with Attorney General Yuvanjana J.W.Wijayatilake to send them for one year rehabilitation before integrating them with society.

Thirty nine hard core LTTE Tamil terrorists were released last week as a part of the pact with Tamil politicians by the government as a political favour.

The Minister said he had also made arrangements with the Commissioner General of Rehabilitation Maj. Gen. Janaka Ratnayake to send therse LTTE Tamil terrorists direct to the Rehabilitation Bureau from the prisons on being released. ]

Of 216 prisoners in detention under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) 48 have been convicted by Courts, 116 are facing trials after charge sheets served on them and remaining 52 have not been issued charge sheets so far, sources said
