Global Sri Lankans Forum Protest on Bill on Sangha

Passing legislation by Parliament to control the members of the Maha Sangha was an unwarranted move by the pro- minority and pro-western government, to mislead the Buddhists and Maha Sangha amidst of proposed so called new constitution said Global Sri Lankans Forum, GSLF. According to GSLF, the proposed bill to be implemented with the blessing of the Maha Nayakas but not by the lay politicians whose motive is to divide the country ethnically and based on the religions to create unrest among the public.

GSLF strongly proposed to enact the Unethical Conversion Bill  and to hold a maha Sangayanakak under the patronage of   Maha Sanga to address the issues related to Buddhists.
