Tamil Terrorism Biased “The New York Times”

The editorial by the New York Time on 28th January 2016 in the head line of “Time for Justice in Sri Lanka”reflects a poor and only a superficial understanding of issues pertaining to Sri Lanka and shows the baseness towards the LTTE Tamil Terrorists.

The worst give away of this is the assumption that 40,000 Tamil civilians were killed in the last month of the war with the LTTE Tamil terrorists. These are mere allegations initiated within days of the ending of the war by the international LTTE Tamil terrorists Diaspora backed some interesting Western and US parties whose main claim to fame is their capacity to misinform.  The commison appoint to investigate the missing people in the war with Tamil terrorist found no ground to fine death of 40,000 civilians; http://www.sinhalanet.net/death-of-40000-tamil-civilian-is-a-myth-by-pro-ltte-diaspora-paranagama

Further, same Editorial discussed about the so called Tamil political prisoners. There are no single political prisoners in Sri Lanka but convicted Tamil terrorists and Tamil terrorists who were arrested for various terrorist acts.

Unfortunately, the UNSG appointed Darusman commission, appointed against the express wishes of some UNSC members, but to interfere the internal affairs of small countries and capture the geopolitics in the region, consisting of three members with well known axes to grind against   Sri Lanka for a variety of reasons, gave respectability to this allegation by suggesting that these are credible allegations, based on evidence from the sources  that would remain anonymous for two decades. So much for the credibility and transparency of these allegations.

The ‘Missing persons commission” chaired by retired  Sri Lanka high court judge Paranagama following extensive sittings including many in the North and East of the country in it’s report made public in September 2015 has reliably concluded that the war casualties in the period referred to was far less than 40,000 and more in the order of 7000.
