The Real Threat, the Real Silence

Let’s stop pretending we don’t see what’s happening.

First it was President Mahinda Rajapaksa- dragged down for defeating the separatist dream.
Then it was Gotabaya- accused, cornered, humiliated.
Then came the generals.
Then the former militants who crossed over to restore peace.
Now it’s Major General Suresh Sallay- the most decorated Muslim intelligence officer in our history- accused of masterminding Easter Sunday.

One force connects all these takedowns: the Tamil Tiger diaspora.
They’ve never forgotten. Never forgiven.
They’re dismantling- one by one- everyone who helped end their separatist war and kill their leader.

And while the world watches the drama, the real questions are being buried.

What about the actual Muslim extremists who carried out the Easter Sunday bombings?
What about the foreign funding, the international intelligence gaps, the geopolitical motives behind that attack?

Instead, a Muslim patriot like Suresh Sallay is blamed- because it’s easier to twist the story when the character suits the plot.

And what’s our community doing?

Our boys are angry, confused, and reactive.
They don’t research. They don’t study.
In the name of protecting Islam, they blindly defend conspiracies.
They think they’re saving the ummah- but they’re only deepening our silence.

The hard truth is this:
• We are voiceless.
• We have no political leadership.
• We are scattered, economically stagnant, and divided.

And when a Muslim actually rises with honour-like Suresh Sallay- we turn on him instead of standing beside him.

It’s time to stop this cycle of fear and foolishness.

We must demand justice for our Christian brothers and sisters who died on Easter Sunday.
But we must also defend those among us who served this country with dignity.

This is not a time for ego or emotion.

It’s a time to rethink, strategize, and rebuild-as a community with courage, not confusion.
