Uniform, ID tag and remains of LTTE Tamil terrorist uncovered in Jaffna

The remains of LTTE terrorists, alongside their uniform and identification tags were uncovered in Muhumalai in Jaffna this week during a demining work.

The findings were made in an area of the former Muhamalai Forward Defence Line, where intense battles between the Tamil terrorists and Sri Lankan forces.

Following 30 years of bloody war in May 2009, Tamil terrorism was wiped out from the Island.

It comes more than 12 years since the end of the Tamil terrorism, in which tens of thousands of civilians of Sinhala, Tamil and Muslims killed by Tamil terrorist over 30 years.

Further earlier this week, more skeletal remains of Tamil terrorists were found in Palai area in Jaffna.

The excavations took place on 11 December, alongside the LTTE uniform remains of an RPG were found. The incident has been referred to the police, with excavations set to resume from the 12 of December with permission from Kilinochichi court.
