පාස්ටර් කොල්ටන් වික්‍රමරත්න

පාස්ටර් කොල්ටන් වික්‍රමරත්න/Colton Samuel Wickramaratna (1931-2018) යනු එරාන් වික්‍රමරත්න සහ ඩිල්ෂාන් වික්‍රමරත්නගේ පියාය.

කොල්ටන් යනු 1957 වසරේදී ඔහු විසින් ආරම්භ කරන ලද ‘පීපල්ස් චර්ච්’ (Assembly of god) පල්ලියේ නිර්මාතෘවරයාය. කොල්ටන් විසින් තම පුතුන් දෙදෙනාම දේවගැතිවරුන් බවට පත් කරන ලද අතර, ඒ අනුව අපට ඔවුන්ව මෙසේ හැඳින්විය හැකිය:

පාස්ටර් එරාන් වික්‍රමරත්න – ඔහුගේ වැඩිමහල් පුත්‍රයා.
ජ්‍යෙෂ්ඨ පාස්ටර් ඩිෂාන් වික්‍රමරත්න – ඔහුගේ බාල පුත්‍රයා.

ඔවුන් දෙදෙනාම තම පියා මෙන්ම දැඩි මතධාරී “බෝන් අගේන්”  දේවගැතිවරු වෙති. දැඩි මතධාරී පල්ලි කිසිවක් අනිකුත් ආගම්වල පැවැත්මට ගරු කිරීමක් නැත.

දේවගැති එරාන් පසුව දේශපාලනයට පිවිසියේය. කෙසේ වෙතත්, ඔහු අද දක්වාම කොල්ටන්ගේ ‘පීපල්ස් චර්ච්’ ආයතනයේ සේවය කරයි.

Pastor Colton Wickramaratne (1931-2018) was the father of Eran Wickramaratne and Dilshan Wickramaratne. Colton was the brainchild or rather the god’s-child behind the Peoples Church (Assembly of god), which he fathered in 1957.  Colron made both his sons pastors and therefore, we state it thus:

Pastor Eran Wickramaratne – his eldest son.
Senior Pastor Dishane Wickramaratne – his younger son.

Both of them, like their father, are staunch “Born Again” pastors.
Pastor Eran later entered politics. However, he still works at Colton’s ‘People’s Church’to this day.
