Mahinda and Archuna

Since a lot of people wrote about this yesterday and the day before, I thought of writing about it after a day or two.
They say Mahinda has become a Tiger… has joined with the Tigers..

Because Parliamentarian Archuna came to Mahinda’s stage and gave a speech..

We didn’t feel that much about it..
Because before that, much bigger Tigers have joined with Mahinda..

Prabhakaran’s biggest attack commander, who was called from the East to command the Tiger army in the North when Prabhakaran was falling in the North,
who attacked us with the Unceasing Waves,
who we had captured after fighting for a year,
who ordered the Tigers to make us lose some sixty kilometers within 48 – 72 hours, Karuna Amman,

His second-in-command Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan (Pillayan) joined with Mahinda..

That joining was a long time ago..
At that time our army had not even defeated the LTTE organization..
It was when the battle was going on fiercely that they joined with Mahinda Rajapaksa..

And they didn’t just stay idle after joining..
They gave maximum support to our forces to defeat the murderous LTTE terrorism from the East..
Their members, with the support of the army, attacked the LTTE organization..

The former Army Commander also said in a press conference earlier,
that the support of the groups that broke away from the LTTE was an additional advantage for our army to attack the LTTE..

Also, the war secrets of the LTTE organization came into the hands of the army through their break-up..

But those who said nothing to Karuna and Pillayan while they were with the LTTE organization, started to criticize and attack them after they broke away from the LTTE organization,
after they joined Mahinda Rajapaksa…

After Karuna Amman and Pillayan broke away from the LTTE and joined Mahinda, they never again stood for Eelam..

They did not stand for dividing the country..

They stood for one country..
They stood against dividing that country..
They took up arms against the LTTE organization that divides the country and fought together with the army..

Because of that, a large number of their members were killed by the LTTE..

When Prabhakaran was killed at Nandikadal, Karuna Amman also went there with the security forces chiefs to identify his death.

He was subjected to intense hatred from the separatists..
And also subjected to the hatred of those in the South who bootlick the separatists..

Some on our side who said nothing to Karuna and Pillayan while they were with the LTTE organization,
it was only after they broke away from the LTTE that they started to become criminals…

After our own Army Commander finally fell into the traps of those who bootlick the separatists, when he said our army committed war crimes,
Karuna Amman told the international community that it was the LTTE organization that committed war crimes in Sri Lanka, not the Sri Lankan army..

When he said that, it hurt the LTTE organization as well as those here who bootlicked it..

Karuna Amman and Pillayan,
stood under the Sri Lankan national flag.
Saluted the national flag.
Bowed their heads to the national anthem…

It’s not that Mahinda or,
Mahinda’s representatives went and saluted the Eelam flag..
Did not shake hands keeping that flag in front..

When Tigers join with Mahinda, what happens is,
that they change, not,
that Mahinda changes..

That day Karuna and Pillayan were taken to his side,
because it would help to destroy the terrible terrorism in this country and create a country for people to live freely..

The LTTE did not stop killing because Karuna and Pillayan left..
It stopped only after Prabhakaran and the LTTE were destroyed..
After the victory, getting death warrants from the LTTE,
without fearing them,
it is not appropriate to throw those people who helped us defeat the LTTE into the pile of LTTE criminals..

While some other leaders discuss with the Tigers and their sympathizers,
for various advantages and victories,
agree to work for their agendas,
what Mahinda does is take those who are with the Tigers to himself,
to agree to work on the agenda for,
the unitary nature of the country,
he gets the groups breaking away from the LTTE to agree.

Karuna Amman came to Parliament,
Pillayan became Chief Minister,
as people’s representatives..
In a democratic way..
Accepting one country, accepting the national flag, national anthem..

We have no objection to any Tiger who wants to change in that way joining.

The moment he came to Parliament,
“I am a Tiger….my god is Prabhakaran….” the Parliamentarian Archuna said in Anuradhapura,
“..Further I will not speak for two countries..
I will not speak for dividing the country…
I will go to our people and tell them let’s stay together with the Southern people.
The true leader born from the South is Mahinda Rajapaksa”…

Is it a bad thing for someone who said Prabhakaran is my god to say it this way…?

Even though he is over 80 years old,
his health has deteriorated,
he doesn’t have the vigorousness he had before, what happens to those who are sympathetic to the Tigers who come to Mahinda even today is that..

If they agree to an ideology without keeping separatist concepts in mind,
without keeping hidden agendas,
without taking up arms,
against those who are abroad who break the country,
no matter whether it’s North or East or South or West.
We don’t need to think twice to join with any such person..
