Global Sri Lankans Questioning Ranil’s Visit to Australia
The Global Sri Lankan Forum, GSLF has issued a detailed Press Release about the visit of Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe to Australia. The University of Deakin has invited Ranil Wickramasinghe as their guest speaker of the “Law 2017 Oration” of the University to be held on 16th February at the university premises.
Concerns of the GSLF were that the person whom Deakin University had invited for the Law oration is currently implicated in a major financial fraud in Sri Lanka – the Central Bank Bond Scam. During Ranil Wickramasinghe’unworthy political career (lost popular elections close to 30 times) he was implicated in many a human rights violations.
