Another Attack to Buddhist Temple

Another attack on Buddhist temple had been carried out in Central Province of Sri Lanka. The attack had been carried out on an ancient Buddhist temple in Thalagahagoda in Matale. The attackers had severally vandalized the Buddha statue and other ancient effects.

This is one of the strings of attacks carried out by non-Buddhists in Sri Lanka. In North and Eastern two provinces mainly Tamils and racist Tamil politicians prompt the attacks on Buddhists and Buddhists temple.

Muslims had carried out series of attacks on Buddhists Temples, Buddha statues in Central province of Sri Lanka. In Mawanella, number of Muslims culprits arrested for such attacks. These arrests lead to unearth future plans for major such attacks in all over the Island by the Muslim Islamic extremists in Sri Lanka.

In the recent past numbers of attacks were carried out against Buddhists and Buddhism in Sri Lanka. The frequency of such attack were increased following the Yahapalana government came to power on 8th of Jan 2015 with the support of western powers to the anti-Sinhala Buddhist UNP political party lead by pro-minority Ranil Wickramasinghe.
