Corrupted LTTE Terrorists fund raisers fight each other

According to the head of the International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research in Singapore, Prof. Rohan Gunaratna the LTTE funds collectors and managers are now fighting each other.  Millions of dollars collected from the Tamil public in all over the world and invested by the LTTE Tamil terrorists have not been returned to the donors or diverted to a good cause,”. Prof. Gunaratna said furthermore, the struggle for political power or money has led to many clashes. For example, the National Canadian Council for Tamils and the Canadian Tamil Congress are clashing with each other. Both are terrorist entities listed under the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1373.

According to Prof. Gunaratna, it is essential for Sri Lanka together with their foreign counterparts to investigate the terrorist sources of funds and bring the financiers and facilitators of terror to justice.

Prof. Gunaratna stressed that to fight insurgency, terrorism and ideological extremism, the single most important ingredient is political will. With visionary, bold and committed political, military, police, and intelligence leaders at the apex, any threat group can be defeated comprehensively.

The Sri Lankan Government, to consolidate the physical defeat of the LTTE must now build a norm and ethic against racism.
