Jaffna Discourse

Today, on the 76th anniversary of Sri Lanka’s independence, a historic event took place at Veerasingham Hall in Jaffna. The Jaffna Discourse, a visionary national initiative by Arun Siddharth, a pioneer of grassroots reconciliation in Sri Lanka, was launched with the participation of over 2000 people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

The Jaffna Discourse aims to create a platform for dialogue, understanding, and collaboration among the different communities and stakeholders in Sri Lanka, in order to address the long-standing issues of conflict, injustice, and violence that have plagued the country for decades. The initiative is based on the concept of 3D peace process, which stands for Discussion,dialogue, decorations .Arun Siddharth, who has been a peace activist for more than 20 years, believes that these three dimensions are essential for achieving a lasting and inclusive peace in Sri Lanka.

The launch event featured a unity march ,speeches, cultural performances, and interactive sessions that showcased the diversity and richness of Sri Lanka’s culture, history, and aspirations. The speakers and participants ,included prominent figures from politics, civil society, academia, media, arts, and religion, as well as representatives of the youth, women, and marginalized groups. The event also highlighted the stories and experiences of the people who have been affected by the war and the post-war challenges, and their hopes and visions for the future.

The Jaffna Discourse is not a one-time event, but a continuous process that will involve more people and activities in the coming months and years. The initiative hopes to create a network of peacebuilders and changemakers across the country, who will work together to foster a culture of dialogue, development, and democracy in Sri Lanka. The Jaffna Discourse invites everyone who is interested and committed to join this journey of peace and reconciliation, and to contribute to the healing and transformation of Sri Lanka.

ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට නිදහස ලැබී වසර 76ක් සපිරෙන අද දින යාපනයේ වීරසිංහම් ශාලාවේදී ඓතිහාසික සිදුවීමක් සිදු විය. ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ බිම් මට්ටමේ සංහිඳියාවේ පුරෝගාමියෙකු වන අරුන් සිද්ධාර්ත්ගේ දූරදර්ශී ජාතික මුලපිරීමක් වන යාපනය කතිකාව විවිධ පසුබිම් සහ දෘෂ්ටිකෝණවලින් 2000 කට අධික පිරිසකගේ සහභාගීත්වයෙන් දියත් කරන ලදී.

දශක ගණනාවක් තිස්සේ රට පීඩාවට පත් කර ඇති ගැටුම්, අයුක්තිය සහ ප්‍රචණ්ඩත්වය පිළිබඳ දිගුකාලීන ගැටලු විසඳීම සඳහා ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ විවිධ ප්‍රජාවන් සහ පාර්ශවකරුවන් අතර සංවාදය, අවබෝධය සහ සහයෝගීතාවය සඳහා වේදිකාවක් නිර්මාණය කිරීම යාපනය කතිකාවතේ අරමුණයි. මෙම මුලපිරීම පදනම් වී ඇත්තේ ත්‍රිමාණ සාම ක්‍රියාවලිය යන සංකල්පය මත වන අතර එය සාකච්ඡා, සංවාද, සැරසිලි .වසර 20 කට වැඩි කාලයක් සාම ක්‍රියාකාරිකයෙකු වන අරුන් සිද්ධාර්ත් විශ්වාස කරන්නේ කල්පවත්නා සහ සියල්ලන් ඇතුළත් සාමයක් සාක්ෂාත් කර ගැනීම සඳහා මෙම මාන තුන අත්‍යවශ්‍ය බවයි. ලංකාවේ.

යාපනයේ කතිකාව එක් වරක් සිදු වූවක් නොව, ඉදිරි මාස සහ වසර තුළ වැඩි පිරිසක් සහ ක්‍රියාකාරකම් සම්බන්ධ කර ගන්නා අඛණ්ඩ ක්‍රියාවලියකි. ශ්‍රී ලංකාව තුළ සංවාද, සංවර්ධනය සහ ප්‍රජාතන්ත්‍රවාදය පෝෂණය කිරීම සඳහා එක්ව ක්‍රියා කරන රට පුරා සාමය ගොඩනඟන්නන්ගේ සහ වෙනස් කරන්නන්ගේ ජාලයක් නිර්මාණය කිරීමට මුලපිරීම අපේක්ෂා කරයි. මෙම සාමයේ සහ සංහිඳියාවේ ගමනට එක්වන ලෙසත්, ශ්‍රී ලංකාව සුවපත් කිරීමට සහ පරිවර්තනය කිරීමට දායක වන ලෙසත්, උනන්දුවක් දක්වන සහ කැපවූ සැමට යාපනය කථිකාව ආරාධනා කරයි.
