Jaffna Municipal Council says no to Terrorists Remembrance by Pro-LTTE TNA Opposition

Jaffna Mayor Ms. Yogeshwari Patkunarajah  refused to allow a motion brought by pro-LTTE Tamil terrorist TNA members to be passed at the Jaffna Municipal Council calling for those killed in Mullivaikal during the final stages of the war to be remembered.

The Mayor had said that if such a motion is to be presented it should include those killed since 1983 when the war began and not just those killed during the final battle.

However the pro-LTTE Tamil terrorists opposition objected to this saying the motion must only draw attention to those LTTE terrorists killed during the final stages of the war in 2009 with Sri Lanka security forces and not since 1983.

The Jaffna Mayor however refused to agree to the motion.

Pro-LTTE Tamil terrorists political collision party TNA tried to conduct several events to commemorate dead LTTE Tamil terrorists in Northern Province of Sri Lanka during the past few weeks coincide with the killing of LTTE terrorist leader Prabakaran on 19th May 2009.
