New Employment for 2000 Tamil Youths in North
Government invited more than 2,100 unemployed Tamil youth through Village Officers (Grama Sevaka) to Palaali and conducted an interview process. The candidates were invited to attend the session with the offer of government jobs. The jobs were focusing for nurses, drivers, motor vehicle repairers, farm workers, electrical workers, painters, English teachers, dance teachers, music teachers and singers. The interviews were conducted at the newly set up ‘Reconciliation Centre’in Jaffna.
This is the second batch of Tamil youth being interviewed to enrol with Government job following successfully employing of Tamils youth to Sri Lankan security forces. A large number of Tamil youth from Vadamaraadchi division where LTTE Tamil terrorist leader Prabakaran came from has employed as IT data entry executives.
