NGO backed & anti-Buddhist Moragoda tipped to be envoy to India to save MCC and 13A
Former Minister Milinda Moragoda, foreign funded NGO backed infamous double anent is tipped to be the next Sri Lankan High Commissioner to India, government sources claimed.
Moragodoa, widely popular as an American backed agent who is working to promote controversial MCC agreement between Sri Lanka and US is the head of foreign backed pro-western neo-liberal NGO called Pathfinder. One of the main core projects of this NGO is to promote liberalism and pluralism in Sri Lanka in order to dilute the nationalism and Sinhala Buddhist culture from the Island.
Evangelical Moragoda worked against Buddhist temples for its routine public pirith sermons stating that it is a nuisance for the general public in a country where more than 75% of its population is Buddhists.
Meanwhile, sources close to Moragoda confirmed that President Gotabaya Rajapaksa in a bid to have close relations with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government will appoint Moragoda with powers of a Cabinet Minister. This covert appointment with the blessing of US and India would lead to save the future of US backed MCC and India backed 13th Amendment which creates the path to Tamil eelam through the Federalism.
This will be the first such instance where Sri Lanka is appointing a head of a diplomatic mission with similar powers to that of a Cabinet Minister from which Moragoda would be able to influence the Cabinet in national issues likes MCC, 13A, 19A, national security etc. to play with geopolitics of US and India.
Moragoda was a Member of Parliament from 2001 to 2010 and held key portfolios including Ministries of Justice and Law reforms, Tourism, Economic Reforms, Science and Technology and Deputy Minister for Plan Implementation and Development. The last political post he held was as the Opposition Leader of the Colombo Municipal Council.
Moragoda also functioned as a Senior Adviser to President Mahinda Rajapaksa and is closely working with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa as well and under his leadership of NGO, Pathfinder submitted a report to Gotabaya promoting the MCC.
The nationalist forces who worked tirelessly to install a nationalist government are deeply concern on various recent government actions such as appointing Mahindananda Aluthgama to the Constitutional Council instead of more qualified people like Sarath Weerasekara, Udaya Gammanpila, Gevindu Cumaranathunga, Nalaka Godahewa and the appointment of US double agent as High Commissioner to strategically important neighboring country India.
