No Sinhala Representation in the Committee to resettle Sinhalese and Muslims in North

The Pro-minority government lead by Ranil and Maithree has appointed three members so called high level committee to work out a method to resettled Sinhala and Muslim people chased away by LTTE Tamil terrorists in 1990. Appointed all members to the committee are minority ethnic politicians; Minister of Industry and Commerce Rishad Bathiudeen who is notoriously infamous for resettling and creating Muslim colonies illegally in all over the North and East and had been accused for his alleged involvement in encroaching the Wilpatthuwa national reservation by force to settle Muslims from South. Another member of the committee is Minister of Prison Reforms, Resettlement and Hindu Religious Affairs D.M. Swaminathan who unfairly ignored to provide much needed infrastructure, housing for the internally displaced Sinhala people in North and East two provinces and allegedly biased and providing undue favouration to Tamils over the internally displaced Sinhala people. Third member to the committee is another Muslim; Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government Faizer Mustafa.

Civil society groups and Sinhala people have no confidence and trust on this ethnically imbalanced so called high committee which only comprised with Tamil and Muslims without any representation from the most effected community of Sinhala people.  

Sinhala people who lived in Northern Province came to South due to Tamil terrorism. According to the reliable sources it has been recorded that over 75,000 Sinhala people had been displaced in North due to LTTE Tamil Terrorism. The currently only Sinhala settlement in Jaffna is “Sinhala Ravaya Gama” in Nawakkuliya. This village is also under frequent threats and attacks by the Tamil extremist and pro-LTTE politicians in the TNA.
