Notice issued on Vigneswaran over NPC proposal
A notice has been issued by the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka on four persons including Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Vigneswaran to appear before the Court on May 12, 13 and 17 of 2016 on their attempt to divide the country by forming Federal state in Sri Lanka.
The notice was issued following a petition which suggested that a proposal adopted by the pro-LTTE lead Northern Province Council could give rise to a division of the country and a reemergence of LTTE Tamil terrorism. The NPC adopted the resolution seeking a federal solution to the so called Tamil ethnic and Tamil terrorism.
The resolution was presented by Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran while the Ministers and members of the council expressed views on the proposal afterwards.
The extremist Wingeshwaran has gone beyond his mandate to promote separatism and Tamil terrorism in Sri Lanka passing numbers of resolutions in NPC.
