OPEN LETTER TO BRUSSELS

Dear Brussels,

I am sad to hear of the tragic incident that you went through. Hope you have the strength and courage to get through this difficult time.I was subjected to similar horrendous atrocities not once but for 30 years when the LTTE TAMIL TERRORISTS, blew up my trains, buses and killed thousands of my people. Just like you, my airport too was attacked. The list of attacks perpetrated against me and my other cities are endless. Too many to list out here.

And to add to my misery, when I underwent all these atrocities at the hands of the terrorists, the western countries were not willing to call the perpetrators as “terrorists”. Time and time again I was bombed and maimed. But in their eyes, these blood thirsty terrorists weren’t terrorists. I remember how they referred to the terrorists as “freedom fighters” and at times justifying their actions.

Now that you have been subjected to a similar atrocity, glad to know that the ISIS are referred to as terrorists and not as freedom fighters. I know it would hurt you if the ISIS was called anything but terrorists. I truly hope you don’t have to endure 30 years of bloodshed at the hands of terrorists.
