Police attacked in Samanthurai, Sinhala Students attacked in Jaffna
While racially motivated Tamils brutally attacked Sinhala undergraduates in the University of Jaffna in Norther Province, Sri Lankan Police officers were attacked by Muslims in Samanthuraya in Eastern Province of Sri Lanka.
Police officers who were in a search operation to arrest illegal dealers in suburbs of Samanthuraya, had been attacked by group of ultra-extremist Muslim villagers to avoid the arrest of Muslim criminals by the Police officers. Number of Police officers were injured and admitted to Akkarapathuwa general hospital. Police has arrested number of criminals with few underage minors who involved in the attack to the Police officers.
Racially motivated separatist Tamil undergraduates of University of Jaffna opposed to conduct any sort of Sinhala cultural events within the University premises. In number of occasions, extremists Tamils students and Tamil thugs in and around the University has disrupted and damaged the Vesak and Poson decorations and disrupted events organized by Sinhala students in the University of Jaffna.
In the recent incident extremist Tamils students and Tamils thugs has attacked to Sinhala students who performed Kandyan cultural dance in a customary welcome ceremony of freshers to the new academic year of University of Jaffna.
While government lead by Ranil and Sirisena who came to the power from the vote of minority Tamils and Muslims are preaching the coexistence and reconciliations to majority Sinhalese, extremists Tamils and Muslims have taken the law to their hands to attack law enforcement officers and innocent Sinhalese living in Northern and Easter two provinces.
