Police Officers Injured by Suspected LTTE Attack in Jaffna

Few Police officers had suffered injuries due to suspected LTTE Tamil terrorists’ attack in Jaffna. The Police officers were in a search and arrest operation on suspected LTTE activits in Kalaidy area in Jaffna suburb recently.

Suspected LTTE terrorists attacked the Police and escaped from the arrest. The injured Police officers had been admitted to the hospital.  Later Police found large quantity of LTTE camouflaged type military uniforms and other LTTE materials.

It is believed that these activities are part of the revival operation of the LTTE movement again in Sri Lanka. Due to the relaxation of security and intelligence operations by the present UNP government national security is under threat from the LTTE Tamil terrorists and pro-LTTE neighbor countries.  Further, it believes that  released of LTTE Tamil terrorists from prisons, influx of Tamil refugees from India, and frequent visits by various Tamil diaspora who are mainly pro-LTTE sympathizers has escalated the tendency of  revival  of LTTE Tamil terrorism again in Sri Lanka.

Interestingly, no government media has given proper coverage for this incident due to pro-Tamil Ranil’s undue pressure on media institutions.
