Racially Motivated Tamils Attacked Sinhala Students in Jaffna University
Six Sinhala undergraduates were injured when racially motivated Tamil students attacked them in factions over welcoming freshers to the Jaffna University with a Sinhala up-country dancing. Politically and racially motivated Tamil extremists undergraduates opposed to any events which reflects the Sinhala Cultures such as Kandyan dancing, Sinhala costumes the welcome function organized for the freshers and brutally attacked all Sinhala undergraduates who participated to the function.
The Science Faculty of the Jaffna University was closed yesterday for a week, after Tamil extremist undergraduates attack.
Reports from Jaffna stated that Sinhala undergraduates who were assaulted by racially motivated Tamils were escorted out of the university premises under police protection for a safe locations. The tension is prevailing in the Jaffna University premises which is widely notoriously famous for Tamil Terrorism. Tamil undergraduates recently organized a function to remembrance of LTTE Tamil terrorists in May 2016 and celebrate the birthday of Tamil terrorist leader Prabakaran.
In several occasions extremists Tamil students opposed to the Sinhala students in Jaffna University by obstructing Sinhala and Buddhists functions. in May 2016, Vesak decorations made by Sinhala Buddhists students in the University was damaged and destroyed by the extremist Tamils undergraduates. Even the administration of the Jaffna University not given proper security and facilities for functions of Sinhala universities.
Tens of thousands of Tamil students are studying peacefully in all other Universities in the Island while Tamil politicians and extremists Tamil students wanted chase away all Sinhalese and Sinhala students from Jaffna peninsula.
