Rehabilitated LTTE Terrorists in Rampage in East

The leader of the Tamil Makkal Viduthalai Pullikal (TMVP) and former Eastern Province Chief Minister Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pillayan, says TMVP members and supporters have come under attack in the eastern province by the rehabilitated LTTE Tamil terrorists.

Pillayan says since election day, the houses of TMVP members based at several locations in the east had been attacked with stones while several TMVP members and supporters were also threatened. Pillayan’s spokesman Azad Maulana said that in one incident TMVP member Inniya Bharathi was threatened in Ampara after his house was surrounded by pro-LTTE TNA supporters. Maulana said that the incidents were related to the Presidential elections. The TMVP supported President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the Presidential election and the party has also been a strong critic of the pro-LTTE terrorists Tamil National Alliance.

He said that if rehabilitated LTTE cadres are used in revenge attacks there is a fear that they may not just use stones very soon but the fire arms and suicide cadres.
