Security Forces warns against remembrance of Tamil terrorists in Jaffna

Sri Lankan security forces warn Jaffna University students and academics when Ms Vasanthy Arasaratnam, the vice chancellor of the University, took them to a meeting with Major General Udaya Perera Kankasamthurai no one would be allowed to take part in any collective events of remembrance on dead LTTE Tamil terrorists.

The Vice Chancellor of Jaffna University Ms Vasanthy Ariyaratnam has arranged this cordial meeting with the security forces. Student leaders appreciated the move which enhanced the civil protection within the society and leave the extremists away from the day to day life of the Jaffna, the town which just recovering from brutality of LTTE Tamil terrorists after 30 years of bloody war.

Sources reporting that some professors and other academics staffs are guiding the some section of Tamil students and students associations to LTTE Tamil terrorism within the University circle. In particular Art Faculty Professors, lecturers of Jaffna University Teachers Association, Jaffna University Student Union, Leaders of Art Faculty Student Union and Science Faculty Student Union are reported to be leading such terrorism within the Jaffna University.

However, security forces are providing security for both Tamil and Sinhala students in the Jaffna University.
