Sinhalese in Jaffna Written Minister for Settlement

Members of North East Sinhala IDP Association – NESIA has written to the Minister of Re-settlement Mr.  D M Suwaminathan requesting him to arrange proper settlement arrangement  for the Sinhalese who have been in IDP status in Nawakkuliya  in Jaffna since 2010.

NESIA has highlighted that although all other communities has been properly settled and had been given basic infrastructure no such treatments has been extended to Nawakkuliay Sinhala village to date.

They further emphasized that although the present government came to power under slogan of so callede equal treatments to all communities they have ignored the majority internally displaced Sinhala community in both North and East two provinces.
