Tamil politicians who are the present champions of the so called reconciliation and peace are opposing for the re-settlement of Internally Displaced Sinhala people in Eastern province. There were over 60,000 strong Sinhala population in Madakalapuwa prior of 1985.  Most of them were either killed by LTTE Tamil terrorists or chased away as part of ethnic cleansing.   

The chief mock of Sri Mangalaramaya in Madakalapauwa, Ven Ampitiye Sumanarathana Thera, who is the voice of Sinhala IDPs in the Eastern province is tirelessly working to bring justice to Sinhala people in the province reported that Tamil extremist politicians and so called Tamil civil groups are obstructing for such re-settlement of Sinhala IDPs.

Ven. Ampitiye Sumanarathana thero is working with the relevant authorities to re-settle 50 Sinhala families who were chased away by Tamil terrorists in Chinnawaththa village in Madakalapuwa.  Tamil villagers who forcibly occupied the lands of Sinhala people and provoked by pro-LTTE TNA politicians in Thuraneelaavana village  are now claiming their ownership to these lands of Sinhalese.

Ven Ampitiye Sumanarathana Thero is also actively engaged in looking after of the welfare of innocent and poor Sinhala IDPs in Keviliyamaduwa and Mangalagama in Madakalapuwa. The Thero has been able to arranged new ten houses during last months to Sinhala IDPs while government only allocating news housing only to Tamils.

Although Pro-Tamil government lead Ranil and Sirisena promoting the reconciliation and peace, these Sinhala IDPs are being constantly threaten by Tamil extremists and Pro-LTTE Tamil politicians.
Pro-minority government of Ranil and Sirisena has been working against the resettlement of Sinhala IDPs in North and East two provinces while promoting the resettlement of Tamils IDPs, releasing of LTTE Tamil terrorists from prisons, releasing of strategically important military lands and closing of strategic military installations disguise of reconciliation in order to fulfil the pre-election pact with pro-LTTE Tamil terrorists TNA.

Since came to power both Ranil and Sirisena have visited North and East two provinces numbers of times but were not bothered to visit Sinhala IDPs in Nawakkuliya in Jaffna and others parts of East.
