The complaint by Swarna Hansa to the National Police Commision.

Swarna Hansa  lodged a complaint at the National Police Commission regarding taking away of Sinhale Sinha Flags from Independence Memorial Hall. Where they were kept to be used at the discussion at the same place organized by Swarna Hansa  Wednesday10,afternoon.

Relevance of the place and date to the discussion to be held on 10,Feb.at Independence Memorial Hall, Independence Square. Is that it is at this place where  Independence was granted  to the Sinhale and opening of First Parliament was held ceremonially on Feb 4 and Feb10 respectively by hoisting the Sinhale Sinha Flag which symbolizes the sovereignty of the Sinhalese over the country Sinhale.

The Director of Cultural affairs had granted permission to Swarna Hans a  for the discussion to be held  at this place on this day.The discussion was to be held in the afternoon and a large number of Sinhale Sinha Flags of different sizes were kept with the security officer of the place. By about 12 noon a team of police officers headed by OIC crime branch of Kurunduwattha Police  had come there and taken away all  the Sinhale Sinha Flags belongs to Swarna Hansa Foundation.

Having thus taken  away the Sinhale Sinha Flags the police had also told the press that these Flags are illegal , continuing the vicious and  malicious campaign  of the separatists  to disrepute Sinhale Sinha Flag and also to create a fear phobia among the people.

In its complaint Swarna Hansa stated that police at Kurunduwattha had acted maliciously to prevent the people from understanding that they are being fooled by the separatists. The Swarna Hansa believes that  the Crimes Branch of Kurunduwattha  police had committed a Crime by taking away Sinhale Sinha Flags belong to Swarna Hansa and stating that Sinhale Sinha Flags are illegal .

The Swarna Hansa seeks  from the National Police Commission to inquire into this criminal action by the Kurunduwattha Police and take  necessary remedial action.
