Under Ranil’s Government LTTE Starts It’s Operations in City of Colombo

Eight pro-LTTE operatives including a lawyer were taken into custody by the Borella police while producing a defamatory documentary on Sri Lanka and  Sri Lankan armed forces who defeated LTTE Tamil terrorist in May 2009 at a house in Narahenpita. The police suspect that eight LTTE operatives arrested while dubbing an anti Sri Lanka and anti-army film were working for LTTE paid Channel Four UK based television network.

Three Sinhalese who seems working for Anti-Sri Lanka NGO and five Tamils, ex-LTTE terrorists were among the arrested. Investigations have revealed that two of the suspects had migrated to India after the defeat of LTTE Tamil terrorists. The suspects at the time of arrest had been residing at Wellawatte, Cinnamon Gardens, Gampaha and Ja-Ela, police said.

After shooting the film in India the suspects had brought it to Sri Lanka for dubbing.  Police said the documentary contained scenes portraying the Sri Lanka Army as an immoral, inhumane and atrocious group.

During the raid, the Police seized the video cassette of the film and the tools and equipment used by them to dub the film.
