Ban Eelam Concept and LTTE Symbols Constitutionally similar to Nazism

The SriLankan patriots living in worldwide under the group called “London Initiative” have proposed to the government appointed expert committee for drafting of new constitution to ban use of all LTTE symbols and eelam concept constitutionally in Sri Lanka including use in parliament similar to the Nazism banned in Germany.

The group has recommended following for the consideration for the expert panel;

  1. banning, creating displaying, production reproduction and the possession of related materials to LTTE and its symbols/ memorabilia in Sri Lanka would be an encouraging step for all the Sri Lankans to move forward and to start.
  2. changes to the constitution and other laws, including those governing the Parliament (to stop using them inside the Parliament),
  3. issue a special Gazette notification with the list of banned LTTE symbols.
