LTTE Tamil Terrorist prisoners hunger strike support by NGO

A foreign funded  pro-LTTE Tamil terrorists’ NGO called the Committee for Protecting Rights of Prisoners (CPRP) campaigning to release LTTE Tamil terrorist prisoners who are in hunger strike to gain the attention of the currently running 39th UNHRC session in Geneva.

The NGO supporting the hunger strike; CPRP is demanding government to look into the plight of Tamil prisoners detained under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.

President of the CPRP,  Senaka Perera had said that the political prisoners were demanding that they be released following a quick rehabilitation. The hunger strike launched by Tamil detainees in the Anuradhapura Prison entered its fourth day yesterday.

It is interesting to see that so called NGO; CPRP which is working for the Rights of the prisoners had been failed to distinguish the political prisoners and the criminals. All those Tamil detainees are LTTE Tamil terrorists with bloods in their hands and they are not political  prisoners.

However, CPRP had been failed to pay the similar attention to those Sinhalese arrested in Digana under the incorrect provisions of the law and keeping them in remand more than six months without any basic charges.
