NPC should dissolve by the President

The Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) had this week called on the Government to dissolve the NPC due to the recent controversial resolutions adopted by the Pro-LTTE terrorist backed provincial council.

Majority of Sri Lankans now feel the repercussions of holding elections for the NPC by the President Mahinda Rajapaksa to please India and CHOGM.

JHU and other affiliated political party of the government said that the Governor of the Northern Province should dissolve the council as a result of the recent resolution adopted calling for an international war crimes investigation against Sri Lanka.

The NPC had adopted three resolutions on Monday including one supporting an international probe on war crimes and another calling for a UN probe on the Mannar mass grave. The reports reveals that the location of mass grave found was a former LTTE Tamil terrorist camp.

JHU member Udaya Gamanpilla said that the TNA dominated council is working against National interests. He said that most TNA members in the NPC are still working according to the agenda of the LTTE Tamil terrorists. Gammanpila, former Western Provincial Council member had said that the Government must also ban all groups and organizations that still promote the LTTE ideology.

President R Premadasa dissolved NPC when ex-Tamil terrorist coveted Chief Minister declared North and East two provinces as separate state.
