‘One Country, One Nation’ ‘Independence Day’ rally across Jaffna – Anti- LTTE terrorism

Anti LTTE terrorism  Tamils in Jaffna carried out an ‘Independence day’ rally in Jaffna.

The rally yesterday was carried out with posters reading “One Country, One Nation!”.

Starting from the central square of the city, the rally circled around Jaffna fort, reaching the KKS-Jaffna Road through the A9 highway, and finally arrived at the Jaffna public library.

SLFP General Secretary and MP Dayasiri Jayasekara, took part in the event and lit a candle in front of the Jaffna public library at the end of the march.

Arun, who was a candidate under the Angajan Ramanathan-led SLFP for the August 2020 parliamentary elections, presided over the organisation of this rally.
