While acknowledging the process of on-going unlawful resettlements in protected Wilpattu National Park by notorious and corrupted Minister Rishad Bathiudeen Member of Parliament, and Minister of Industry and Commerce of pro-minority government lead by Ranil and Sirisena is problematic, President Maithripala Sirisena has assured immediate actions will be taken to prevent further destruction to the forest. However to date no such actions taken against the destruction to the nature and national park by the government but has given 34 government institutions under the administration of corrupted and violence oriented Rishad Bathiudeen.

Rishad Bathiudeen, Member of the Sri Lanka parliament allowed destruction of the Wilpattu National Park (Forest) in Sri Lanka in order to settle his chauvinistic groups in Wilpattu area at present. Since 1938, the area of the Wilpattu National Park was expanded from time to time. According to environmentalists and nature lovers, at present around 2500 hectares of this massive National Park has been destroyed by Member of Parliament Rishad Bathiudeen and his chauvinistic groups.

Also Rishad Bathiudeen personally with his groups hunting wildlife on this National forest. Present pro-minority Sri Lanka president and Prime Minister did not stop Rishad Bathiudeen & his chauvinistic groups’ activities on the this beautiful National forest.

He already destroying utill the deep forest and Sri Lankan authorities fail to stop him because Rishad Bathiudeen corrupted and back powered by Sri Lanka dirty current politicians.

Inland Petition and Sri Lankan media’s still couldn’t stop chauvinistic group’s destruction on this national forest to build their houses. Environment lovers forced government to arrest thug nature Rishad Bathiudeen & his chauvinistic groups but still there is no existing powerful decision makers in Sri Lanka to stop this unauthorised colonization on National forest.

The Wilpattu National Park is Sri Lanka’s largest national park. Not only is it large in size, this National Park is home to 605 different plant species and 328 animal species and its roots date back to the Vijaya-Kuveni era of Sri Lanka and possibly event predates this era.
