UN Double Stance – Pillay to reveal stance on Palestine

The Jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) said today that the High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay, who fighting to her last drop of blood to prosecute Sri Lanka for war crimes   agaist LTTE Tamil terrorists war should reveal her stance regarding the violation of international military law and international human rights in Palestine by US and EU alley Israel.

“We ask Navi Pillay, a Tamil and LTTE sympathizer what her stance is on the genocide in Palestine. She should declare her stance to the world regarding that. But she seems to be silent when the international military law and international human rights were being violated in Palestine by killing 1400 civilians, boming and destroying Mosques, schools, UN humanitarian centres, hospitals, homes and public infrastructures” JHU national organiser and Western Provincial Councillor  Nishantha Sri Warnasinghe said.

Mr. Warnasinghe accused the UN Human Rights Commissioner, Navi Pillay who passed a resolution against Sri Lanka of pursuing double standards on certain countries in the world and added that her silence on the Palestine genocide implies that her approach had been different in some countries of the world.

“Ms. Pillay termed it a war crime when a Malaysian Airlines plane was shot down in Ukraine. But she keeps mum on the Palatine genocide and regarding the abduction of 200 students by Boko Haram militants in Nigeria.” Mr. Warnasinghe told a news conference in Colombo.
