UNHRC Ignored the Tamil Terrorism – GSLF President – Swiss
Eric Makawitage, Co-President of Global Sri Lankans Forum of Switzerland branch echoed that UNHRHC keeping blind eye and tends to be ignored on the crimes carried out by LTTE Tamil terrorists in Sri Lanka and in the international arena. Makawitage highlighted this during his speech at the 38th session of the UNHRC in Geneva on 19th June 2019.
The Co-President of GSLG-Swiss stated that GSLF has submitted detailed and comprehensive defence statement to the OISL report prepared by UNHRC and however, no response received from the UNHRC to date.

Mr. President,
The LTTE, the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam had continuously violated the human rights of all the people living in Sri Lanka for three decades.
In view of crafting as separate state, these terrorists mercilessly massacred thousands of inanest civilians.
Sri Lankan armed forces defeated the ruthless LTTE terrorists and protected the human rights of all the people in Sri Lanka, including the innocent Tamil people living in these areas.
Mr President, unfortunately UNHRC has turned a blind eye to the document submitted by The Global Sri Lankan Forum with solid evidence of ethnic cleaning carried out by LTTE terrorists.
We are still waiting for your acknowledgement and action for this submission presented during the 37th session.
We request this council to study our reports, followed with investigations to rectify the wrong actions taken against Sri Lanka through the resolution 30/1.
Heroic soldiers who dedicated their entire lives to protect the human rights of our mother nation, should get the justice they deserve.
